Thursday, April 16th - PM Get ready for some "paws-on" fun in our Peek-a-boo Raccoon workshop! This creative session invites young artists to build a whimsical, multi-layered scene featuring a curious raccoon peeking out from its woodland hideout. In this workshop, children will dive into a variety of techniques to bring their forest friend to life. They will learn how to paint the raccoon’s expressive face and distinctive "mask" using bold grey and black brushstrokes, then develop a rich, textured wooden hollow using layered paint effects. The project reaches new heights when we incorporate 3D elements, with students painting and hand-cutting vibrant autumn leaves in shades of peach, gold and pink to frame their character. It’s a wonderful way for children to explore the world of mixed-media while celebrating the cozy colours of the Autumn season. General workshop notes: As the session is 2.5 hours long, students will probably want to bring a water bottle and a snack to enjoy mid-session, to keep them sustained. It is also a good idea to send your child in clothes that they do not mind getting paint on, just in case! Don't forget: If you book both sessions in one day, you get the lunch hour for free!
