Tuesday, April 14th - PM Calling all young artists! Are you ready to step into a magical autumn forest and meet its most mischievous resident? Join us for an afternoon of colourful fun as we bring our very own 'Peek-a-Boo Bandit' to life, using a range of different mediums. In this playful, step-by-step workshop, children will explore the vibrant world of Autumn. We’ll start by "planting" a tall, textured birch tree using cool grey and white strokes. Then, the real fun begins: we’ll use big, happy dabs of yellow, orange and fiery red to create a canopy of glowing autumn leaves that pop right off the page! Finally, we’ll paint our guest of honour: a fuzzy, curious raccoon peeking out to say hello! During this workshop students will learn how to: * Print and layer colours to make a glowing forest background. * Create texture to give our raccoon his soft, winter fur. * Paint expressions, giving their forest friend its own unique personality and sparkle in its eyes. No experience is needed, just a sense of adventure and a love of cute critters! Each child will head home with a finished masterpiece ready to brighten up any wall! General workshop notes: As the session is 2.5 hours long, students will probably want to bring a water bottle and a snack to enjoy mid-session, to keep them sustained. It is also a good idea to send your child in clothes that they do not mind getting paint on, just in case! Don't forget: If you book both sessions in one day, you get the lunch hour for free!
